Library Resources Guides

I apologize for the delay in updating this site. Busy, busy, busy - as I am sure you all are.

If you haven't heard about these already, the library has developed new online resource guides for most subject areas.

All guides can be viewed from here: http://guides.boisestate.edu/

The specific guide for Sociology can be viewed here: http://guides.boisestate.edu/sociology

Please feel free to link to these for your classes. Let me know if you would like any changes to be made or if you would like me to create one for your specifc course.

Semester Finals and Projects

The semester is nearing an end and Boise State students are scrambling to study for finals and complete projects and papers. Please take a moment to remind your students that the Albertsons Library will be open 24 hours during Finals Week. Also let your students know it is okay to ask for help from a librarian at the reference desk. That is what we are there for. Feel free to have your students contact me directly if they need individual help.

As always, let me know how the Library can help support your students, or how I can help with your classes and research.

Student Library Research Guide

Did you know the library provides a subject guide specifically for library research in Sociology?

The Sociology Library Subject Guide is a great one-stop research resource for you and your students. The guide provides links to Articles/Indexes, Sociology Journals, Reference sources and Websites. It also highlights all the different ways you can contact a librarian either at the Reference desk, by phone, by email/AskUS and through the 24/7 reference chat service AnswerXpress.

The subject guide is available from the library's homepage

or...

directly from here: http://library.boisestate.edu/reference/subjectguides/sociologysg.htm

or...

even from the list of links on the side of this page... ---------------------------->>

I encourage you to share this library resource with your students.
